Parchment is paper-like material prepared from animal skins, invariably goat, sheep., or calf skin. The latter is also called vellum. The terms parchment and vellum are also more widely used to describe materials which are prepared in ways that give them similar qualities, such as "velllum fine writing papers". Parchment has been used for centuries, and still is for documents for which extreme archival qualities are required.

We carry a small stock of different quality parchment to enable those with an interest to purchase a sheet or two in order to explore the features of this material. It is an expensive product. Our pricing is for a single sheet of the size indicated.
